We start by designing and custom cutting a unique pattern just for you. We’re one of just a handful of custom shirtmakers in the world that still takes this critical step. Then we hand cut every part of your shirt using a blade, not scissors, for greater precision. This provides you with the best fit in the industry.

Our collars and cuffs are handcrafted to give our shirts a distinctly professional, premium-tailored look and feel. We use only the finest ocean pearl buttons, a distinctive feature of the world’s finest shirts. Single needle construction provides a stronger seam between 18 and 22 stitches per inch, compared to shirts that are made on automated equipment that use only 12 to 14.

RH Newell offers 14 standard collar types, 4 collar point styles, 10 cuff styles, 9 pocket types, 5 front styles and 8 back styles. You may choose to incorporate contrasting fabrics on the body of your shirt, box center, cuffs or inner cuffs, collars and/or sleeve facings to create a unique design. You may also choose from a limitless array of extras, including uniquely placed pen pockets, cell phone and pager pockets, signature monograms and many others.

When you order RH Newell shirts, you are guaranteed to receive handcrafted quality, delivered in half the time of European custom shirtmakers. Our founder’s ancestors moved to Northwestern New York State from England in the 17th Century, and our master cutters and sewing artisans come largely from the same families that have provided our loyal workforce for many years.

Our shirts are still made in the same small farming community near Lake Ontario where we first started over 100 years ago. Even though we painstakingly craft each one of your shirts, our location allows us to ship them with unmatched speed.
